Police: Man recovering from brain injury after bar fight

Local News

A local man is still recovering from a serious brain injury that police say happened following a fight outside of a Wichita Falls bar.

26-year-old Raymon Herd is charged with aggravated assault. He was arrested last night in relation to a bar fight that happened two weeks ago at Broken Tap in downtown Wichita Falls.

Witnesses say a man as he was leaving the bar bumped into Herd and the two had a verbal altercation.

Then, the victim and female reportedly got into a separate argument in the street and that’s when witnesses say herd punched the victim knocking him out and causing him to have a seizure.

Doctors say the victim suffered bleeding to his brain and two strokes due to the assault. He is also expected to be out of work for six months. Herd has already bonded out of jail.
