Police: Stole money at gunpoint where received help

Local News

A twenty year old man is accused of breaking into a Wichita Falls home with a gun to steal money, a home where he’d sometimes received help and even a place to stay.

Police say it happened on may 7, in the 1600 block of 31st Street.

The arrest affidavit for Francisco Villegas says at around 11:20 pm, a person at the home heard a knock at the door and then opened it because she recognized Villegas.

She stated there were three males in masks who pushed their way inside and asked for her son.

The woman stated Villegas pushed her on a couch and pointed a gun at another man’s forehead.

The woman’s son says Villegas also pointed a gun at his forehead before hitting him on the head with the pistol.

The police report states Villegas demanded all the money the son had and got away with about $1,800.

The woman’s son told police he’d known Villegas for several years, and that he’d tried to help Villegas by giving him food, clothes and sometimes a place to stay.

Villegas is charged with burglary of a habitation.

Bond is set at $750,000.
