Like every year, the Ranch Roundup came to a close Sunday morning with Cowboy Church at the MPEC.

Cowboys gather here each year with their families to compete, but some of them gather also to pray together on Sunday morning.

Back again this year to minister and sing was Reba McEntire’s sister, Susie McEntire Eaton and her husband, Mark Eaton.

Photojournalist Sircalvin Wallace takes us there.

Susie McEntire Eaton: “These people have come for the rodeo, they’re away from home and a lot of them are the contestants or people who have had booths in the exhibition hall.  So, it’s a thing that they’re away from their home churches this weekend so we hold it on Sunday morning so they can worship God on Sunday morning.”

Mark Eaton:  “Love must be sincere.”  “The singing with Susie, for starters, really is almost an out of body experience for me.”  “Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.”  “Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Since the Texas Ranch Roundup began in 1981, more than $3,000,000 has been raised for charities, including the North Texas Rehabilitation Center.
