RBNC Hosts Dallas Zoo’s Exotic Animals

Local News

Some crazy critters are climbing, crawling and slithering their way to Wichita Falls.

The River Bend Nature Center is hosting the Dallas Zoo and many of their exotic animals.

Featuring lizards, armadillos, and much more, the show gives kids hands on experience with some of the world’s most unique critters.

“A lot of these kids don’t get to see animals like this — like a penguin, like a flamingo — up close and personal,” said Alyssa Leslie, manager of outreach at the Dallas Zoo. “When you know how to protect something, that’s when you know how to really care for an animal.”

If you missed Tuesday’s shows you’re still in luck!

They have four more shows at 10 and 11:15 a.m. coming up Wednesday and Thursday. Groups of 10 or more must call to reserve a spot. Admission is $5 per person and children under one year old get in free.
