Sixteen people face charges after the Jack County Sheriff’s Office concluded a year-long undercover narcotics investigation.
Deputies spent countless hours of surveillance during their interaction with known drug dealers within Jack County.
Deputies focused their investigation on people who sell and/or distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs.
In February, the Jack County Grand Jury returned 10 bills of indictments. All 10 indictments were sealed.
Over a 24-hour operation, deputies arrested 16 defendants for various felony-level offenses including those involving the sale and possession of illegal drugs.
Deputies seized money, guns, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and opiates.
Deputies are continuing their investigation and more arrest are expected.
In indictment is not an indication of guilt. It is a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to hold a trial.
