Christmas means a lot to so many for different reasons. Some talk about nostalgia, a favorite memory from their childhood, or just getting a chance to sing Christmas carols. And The Grand Ol’ Christmas Show works that all into one.
The show will make its Wichita Falls debut at the Wichita Theatre this December. It’s a family-friendly Christmas themed-production, performed within a live 1940’s-style radio show, tied in with modern day references.
Will Hearn, the show’s executive director, said the show is meant to take the audience back to a more simple time, without being a typical Christmas show.
“A lot of times when people talk about Christmas shows, there’s visual eye-rolling that we can see.
We make a point to make our show entertaining and really enjoyable for those people especially,” Hearn stated.
The production features about 30 cast members plus orchestra and gospel singers. The Grand Ol’ Christmas Show is scheduled for performances on December 20th and 21st.
