A Wichita Falls Independent School District Teacher was given probation after being accused of having sex with an 18-year-old student Thursday.
Amber Witte entered a guilty plea before her trial could begin.
The punishment range for improper relationships with students is two to 20 years.
Witte was sentenced in 89th District Court to five years deferred adjudication, community supervision.
The former Wichita Falls High School math teacher also gave up her teaching license.
Witte was arrested in June 2015 after police say a student admitted to having sexual intercourse with Witte at her house.
The principal, assistant principal and assistant human resource director then interviewed Witte and said she admitted to having oral sex, but not intercourse, with the student.
