Jurors in the Justin Love murder trial Thursday viewed the recorded interrogation of Love about his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Domanic Thrasher in 2015.
The day started by playing Justin Love’s interview with Detective Brad Love.
During the interview, Detective Love had Love go through his alibi twice. Love said he was “far from there” and “didn’t hurt anybody.” He said he was with his family at his house all day except for when he, his wife and children went to his grandmother’s house for dinner.
In the video, Detective Love said Love’s wife’s account of the day was very different from his.Throughout the interview, Love was fidgeting and rubbing his head a lot.
After the video was played, Detective Love took the stand again, and said the initial tip he received about Love’s involvement came from a Facebook account which ended up being Love’s sister-in-law.
Also testifying today, Dr. Marc Krouse who performed the autopsy. Photos from the autopsy were shown. Dr. Krouse said Thrasher had four gunshot injuries and the one that killed him went through the side of his chest. He said blood tests showed Xanax and presumptive THC in Thrasher’s blood.
Also jurors heard about the cell phone at the crime scene and how information was obtained from it that Detective Love said helped lead police to the suspects.
The trial will continue in 30th District Court on Monday morning at 9.
