A new Cinco de Mayo festival is coming to downtown Wichita Falls this weekend, and Texomans are encouraged to join the fiesta.
Loco for Cinco will hold its first festival at 806 Travis Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
It will be open to the public there will be a mariachi band playing as well as local food vendors and games for the public.
“It takes a lot to put on something like this,” Loco Cinco organizer Alicia Duran said. “I think it’s going to be really well received especially with the Hispanic community there are other events going on the same day and we encourage everyone to go out and see to give a taste of our culture.”
Proceeds will go to the Mexican American Veterans Association who in turn will help the community with such as help with Camp Lindsey the ROTC program and also give out scholarships here locally
