Several area businesses, law enforcement offices and churches are offering safety for those who need it during the potential sever Texoma weather Monday night.
The Cache Police Department officials want to remind residents of its resources during severe weather.
The public storm shelter will be open all day on Monday. It’s located behind Cache city hall at 5th Street and C Avenue.
In a Facebook post, the department also said to stay alert and plan for the worst case scenario and remember necessities. Pets are allowed but they must be in a kennel or on a leash.
Over in Wilbarger County, residents can take cover at T.G. McCord Elementary, Shive Elementary, Central Elementary and the middle school there in Vernon.
Iowa Park will have a shelter for residents to go if they do experience severe weather. The storm shelters will be located at Iowa Park High School, Kidwell Gym and also Bradford Gym.
Over in Burkburnett, the leaders of the Church of Christ have opened their basement up for those who need it in the area. The address is 204 North Avenue C under the white awning.
Haskell High School officials will open their basement. The doors on the south end of the school will open when the storm gets closer. No pets are allowed.
