It’s a great opportunity to say “thank you” to a military service member, because Monday is “National Hug a G.I. Day.”
Some websites point out that the date for this “National Day” is also a military command: “March Forth.”
And, while the term “G.I.” has its roots in the army, the day celebrates all branches of the U.S. military.
Nationaltoday.com recommends offering a hug or handshake to a service member, sending a care package, sending a “thank you” email, and using #nationalhugagiday.
