A chase leads to the arrest of a second suspect wanted for a previous chase and a home invasion assault and robbery on Gilbert last month.
Wichita Falls police arrested Dequavious Sanderson, 22, Friday night after a car and foot chase on Oceola. Police have been searching for him and another man for the home invasion.
Police reportedly found him hiding in a dog house.
He is the second suspect arrested in connection with the robbery on Gilbert on Nov. 27, in which a resident said he came home and found three masked men in his house. The victim tried to run but was hit in the head with a gun, forced to open a safe, and tied up. Police say $4,500, guns and a Hyundai were taken.
About 15 minutes later, police spotted a Hyundai matching the description and pursued it on Oriole. Three men got out and ran, but only one man, Jimmy Downing, was arrested. Police said Sanderson escaped that pursuit but was caught in Dec. 7 chase.
The third suspect, Tyrone Davis is still at large.
Downing has previous convictions for armed robbery and a home invasion, Sanderson was arrested in 2014 for two armed robberies at two United gas stations the same night. Tyrone Davis has previous arrests for robbery and a shooting and should be considered dangerous.
