Two Pasadena, Texas men are charged with money laundering after Wichita County deputies said they found almost $150,000 in suitcases and lock boxes in the pickup they were driving on U.S. 287.

Isaiah Guerra, 18, and Bryan Sosa, 21, are also charged with possession of controlled substances after deputies said they found 11 containers of THC wax.

A deputy pulled the truck with Oregon plates over near loop 11 for going four miles over the speed limit on Wednesday evening.

Another deputy arrived and said he smelled marijuana from inside the truck.

The deputies searched the truck and said a large bundle of cash was found inside a backpack in the backseat.

They said they found two suitcases in the bed of the truck and inside the liner of one they found several more large bundles of cash wrapped with rubber bands.

In the second suitcase, they said they found two black lock boxes, one filled with more bundles of cash and the other with the THC wax.

The total amount of cash found was $146,158.
