Wichita Falls police officers arrest two suspected vehicle burglars after witnesses report suspects leaving the scene on a bicycle and a tricycle.

Kaleb Tweed and Joseph Byers were arrested just after 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Filmore Street.

They are charged with burglary of a vehicle and tweed has a bond of $5,000 while Byers’ bond is not yet set.

According to police officers, one of the suspects told the other to come over so that they could hit some cars.

The other suspect said that he didn’t want to break into cars but wanted to dumpster dive instead.

A witness told officers two men, one on a bicycle and one on a tricycle, were looking into cars and saw them get into an unlocked vehicle that had loose change inside.

When officers arrived, they said they saw two men on the bike and trike and stopped them.

The officers were given consent to search a backpack and in it they said they found an abundance of loose change.

Officer said they also found change inside the pockets of the jackets the suspects were wearing.
