Two WF residents charged in connection to laundry coin burglaries

A pair of Wichita Falls residents is charged in connection to a string of washer and dryer coin burglaries.

Harold Don Wolfe III, 33, and Karah Jane Russell, 35, were arrested Sunday after authorities said Wolfe was seen entering the laundry room of various apartments around town.

When officers noticed Russell and Wolfe in a convenience store, officers kept them under surveillance and investigated a laundry room where they noticed signs of forced entry and the change locks were damaged with missing coins at the Sun Valley Apartments and Harrison Apartments.

Police officers said when they searched the car the two were in, they found pry bars and quarters on the floorboard.

Authorities said the duo was seen using the allegedly stolen coins to play games at the convenience store they were spotted at.

Both Wolfe and Russell are charged with two counts of burglary and have $20,000.
