UPDATE: Wichita Falls Police have arrested a man they said fired a gun outside of a home on McNiel Avenue early Monday morning.

James Geske, 40, was charged with two counts of deadly conduct.

Just after 1 a.m. Monday, officers were called to the 4400 block of NcNiel in reference to shots fired.

The victim stated she and Geske had recently separated and that at about noon on Sunday he kept trying to contact her.

Later that night, police said Geske sent a picture of him with a gun to the victim.

Officers said Geske then showed up at the victim’s house and became upset when he saw another vehicle at the house.

They said he called the victim and told her to call the police.

Shortly after, the victim told police she and the other man inside the house heard five gunshots outside.

When police arrived they found three casings to a .32 caliber gun in the driveway and Geske was no longer there.

Just after 5 a.m. officers went to Geske’s home and said they found a 32 caliber gun hidden between a mattress and box spring when they searched it.
