A man is in jail after the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office found him and arrested him for violation of his sex offender registration requirements.

Joshua Tremaine Wilson, 31, is jailed with a $15,000 bond. Police officers said Wilson was convicted of sexual assault of a child in 2009 in Brazoria County, and he is required to register annually as a lifetime sex offender.

Authorities said Wilson violated terms of his registration in 2013 and 2018, and his last registered address was in 500 block of Welch, but his parole officer reported they did not know where he was and he had removed his GPS tracker device and fled.

No record of his address was found as of November last year.

Wilson is in the Wichita County Jail for failure to comply with his lifetime registration requirements as a sex offender.
