A 28-year-old man who in the past has been charged with evading arrest with young children unrestrained in the car and in another case, running over pedestrians, was arrested again and faces among other charges, 2 counts of driving with unrestrained children.

Alex Castillo has numerous traffic violation charges and a revoked bond for possession of a controlled substance.

Last May, police said Castillo led them on a chase after an attempted traffic stop before he came to a stop at a dead end on Dodge Street.

They said they found twin 3-year-old girls in the car, and neither was in a safety seat and the car was piled high with heavy tools.

They also said they found cocaine in the car.

Castillo was also convicted of causing an accident with serious bodily injury and failing to stop and render aid.

Police said in 2012 he was driving in a parking lot on N. Scott Avenue and struck a pedestrian in the left hip, then reversed the car and ran over both legs of a woman.
