Tuesday is the last day to vote early for the WFISD Tax Ratification Election.
So far more than 1200 people have voted early.
Today and Tuesday residents will be able to vote at the WFISD Education Building on Board street from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sikes Senter Mall from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Election day is June 15 and on that day residents will be able to vote at 11 locations.
The school district is proposing a tax change that could give the school district an extra $1.4 million dollars per year while also decreasing the tax rate.
By voting for the tax ratification, the I&S tax rate, which is currently 18 cents, will be dropped to zero.
The maintenance and operation tax rate will increase from $1.04 to $1.17, this would cause the tax rate to decrease from $1.22 to $1.17.
