WFPD arrests two people after assault on 8th Street

Local News

A Wichita Falls woman and man were both arrested Tuesday morning after police say she called them claiming he assaulted her.

Officers were called to the 2300 block of 8th Street around 7:20 after Laura Alderman, 56, said a man staying at her residence assaulted her with bike parts.

When officers arrived they found Troy Rainwater, 47, on the porch and later discovered he was barred from the residence.

He was arrested for criminal trespassing.

Rainwater later told officers when he got out of jail he would kill the residents and during transport, he also told officers he would beat them.

Because he made those statements, officers also charged him with two counts of retaliation.

Police also spoke with a resident who told them Alderman hit him with a broom handle during an argument at the home.

Officers were able to see a cut on the victim’s forehead.

Alderman faces one count of assault-family violence.
