A Wichita Falls man is back behind bars after a police K9 found drugs and a gun underneath the hood of his truck.

Police say 35-year-old Daniel Harris was driving south on Smith street around 2 pm in a black F150 when police recognized him from past gang affiliations and knew he did not have a license.

They were able to pull him over in the 300 block of Tulsa street That’s where they say police k9 Turko started to search the truck and found a purple crown royal bag and a gun between the battery and passenger fender.

Inside the crown royal bag were two baggies containing 52 grams of a crystal-like substance that police say tested positive for methamphetamine.

Because Harris had previously been convicted on weapons charges, police say he was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
