Wichita Falls Police said Hetep Bitel Franklin Neter-nu, 54, was arrested Tuesday morning for stealing Pokemon cards from the Walmart on Lawrence Road.

The total value for the items stolen was $44.84.

Police officers said they were called to the supermarket at 9:52 a.m. in reference to a theft.

When they arrived on scene, they said a loss prevention officer informed them that Neter-nu had attempted to use the self-checkout line to steal the cards.

The loss prevention officer told investigators that Neter-nu scanned two smaller packs of cards but did not scan or pay for two large boxes of trading cards.

Neter-nu has one prior conviction for theft in Lubbock. He is currently in the Wichita County Jail. His bond has not yet been set.
