Wichita Falls police officers tased a man riding a bike after they said he failed to signal his turn and then refused to stop after they tried to pull him over.

Burkburnett man Shawn Skinner, 28, is charged with evading arrest and being held for a bond being canceled on a previous drug possession charge.

An officer said he and another officer saw a man riding a bike in the 1700 block of Polk Street on Monday, and he failed to give a hand signal when turning onto Avenue G.

The officers turned on the flashing lights and went after the bicyclist, who they said stopped and looked back, then started pedaling again down Bell Street.

An officer said he rolled down his window and told Skinner to stop or they would tase him, but Skinner kept pedaling down an alley while throwing objects out of a black container.

One of the officers then got out of their unit and chased Skinner, and fired his taser hitting Skinner in the back as he was getting onto Giddings Street.

They then handcuffed Skinner and found he had a bond cancellation for possession of a controlled substance.
