A man police officers said recorded his break-in and burglary of a Wichita Falls home in 2017 has agreed to a plea bargain.

Christopher Phillips Lopez, 38, agreed to plead guilty for a four-year prison sentence. His formal plea and sentencing will be done on May 3.

Officers said Lopez broke into a home in the Sunnyside neighborhood.

They said he was caught in the act by the homeowner who then saw him run out and jump over a back fence.

That’s where officers later found a cell phone, which they said had a video of the burglary in progress and also photos, social media accounts and coordinates showing location and time.

Officers said when questioned Lopez admitted to the burglary, expressed remorse, and cooperated fully with their investigation.
