WFPD: Woman arrested trying to flee after dumpster diving

Local News

A Wichita Falls woman who gave police no home address was jailed after police tased her when they said she refused to stop after dumpster diving.

Amber Lynn Kidwell, 33, was jailed on a charge of evading arrest.

Police said they got a call Tuesday about a woman in a dumpster in an alley behind Beverly.

They said when the officer arrived she was no longer in the dumpster but had contents of the dumpster spread out in the alley.

She began walking off and the officer says she was told to stop, but she kept going and yelled that, quote– “it’s my birthday and I don’t have time to ride in a car!”

An officer then tased her and she was taken into custody.

Records show Tuesday was in fact, Kidwell’s birthday.
