The start of a school year usually comes with excitement from both teachers and students but this year it brings anxiety as parents wrestle with the decision whether to have their child do in-person or remote learning.

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita Falls High School officials reported on Friday, Oct. 16, another student has contracted COVID-19.

This case is classified as a low exposure risk. The health department has conducted contact tracing and found no close contacts.

This brings the total number of active student cases in WFISD to 47, while the number of active staff cases is 22.
