A man police say was the victim of a robbery at gunpoint of an Xbox game system, gets himself arrested in the same apartment for alleged theft of doors from the apartment complex.

19-year-old Austin Kimbro is charged with burglary.

On Tuesday, we reported the armed robbery of Kimbro and another man at Indian Falls apartments.

Victims say the alleged thief, Jorge Chavira, pointed a gun at them while a woman took the Xbox.

Now Kimbro is charged with theft of doors.

A maintenance worker at the apartments said he was working on a vacant apartment below Kimbro’s and saw that some interior doors were gone, and the ceiling was leaking.

He said he went to the apartment above to check for a leak and knocked and when no one answered, used a master key to get inside.

There, he says he found the missing doors.

An officer who questioned Kimbro said Kimbro told him he had broken some of the doors in his apartment and took some from the apartment below his because no one lived there, and said he planned to pay for them.

He says when management took the doors back, he assumed they would not file charges.

A Wichita Falls man who was booked into the Wichita County jail this yesterday on an unrelated charge is now charged with aggravated assault stemming from a burglary earlier this year.

28-year-old Jorge Lewis Chavira’s bond is set at $30,000.

Wichita Falls police say on February 8th they were called out to a home in the 4500 of Barnett.

Three victims say they had been hanging out with Chavira and another subject playing video games on an Xbox.

They left to go to the casino and when they got back, Chavira and the subject forced their way into apartment to get the Xbox.

Police say Chavira got into a fight with one and the victims and held them at gunpoint while the other subject retrieved the Xbox and then they fled the scene.
