Texomans can help in the fight against hunger in a very fun and simple way over the next few weeks.
Multiple organizations in the city have been collecting canned goods in an effort to supply our area food bank, and the Jump for Joy Party Play Center is no different.
The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank helps so many in our area, struggling to keep food on the table, but that can only happen through the generosity of others.
That’s why parents like Hazel Walden are taking their kids to jump for a good cause.
“If I can help any child in need, I’m definitely going to do that.” Walden said.
Jump For Joy employee Taleigh Propest explained the purpose of the drive.
“Our Jump for Joy annual food drive is a way for everybody to get involved sort of in the community, we like to stay involved.” Propest said.
For the next couple of weeks, on a visit, each family member can pay a discounted fee under one condition: donate.
“Only two cans gets everybody in for $5.” Propest said.
Typically, right before the holidays are a slow time for the food bank, which serves 12 Texoma counties, proving every donation counts.
“I think it’s great that Wichita is doing this and that Jump for Joy is doing this.” Walden said.
The Jump for Joy Food Drive continues through November 15.
