With the arrival of spring comes highly anticipated warmer temperatures, meaning things have the pontential to dry out with little to no rain. If you live in Wichita Falls, there are certain rules you need to follow regarding water usage, even though Wichita Falls’ resevoirs have remained full for some time.
For example, there is a restriction on watering your lawn that goes from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. If you water your lawn and water flows 50 feet beyond it, that’s also violation. Wichita Falls Public Works Utilities Operations Manager Daniel Nix said he’s seen these rules being broken already.
“People are getting a little laxed. And we’re not issuing citations just yet. We are being friendly and reminding people of those restrictions and how to do it properly,” Nix said. “And we will continue to watch.
If they don’t take a friendly reminder, and they continue to operate improperly, we will issue them a citation.”
