A 34 year old Wichita Falls woman faces a misdemeanor cruelty to animals charge for allegedly picking up and slamming a kitten onto a driveway.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Monroe and witnesses there told them they saw Theresa Seigfried pick up a small white kitten by its back foot and slam it to the concrete in a circular motion, striking its head several times.
They said the kitten was limping around in circles with its head on the ground after being slammed down, and police say the kitten had blood coming out of its ears.
Officers questioned Seigfried and say she admitted slamming the kitten down because she was mad at a man.
The affidavit states an examination of the kitten revealed its ear drums were ruptured and it has permanent hearing loss, internal bleeding and possible nerve damage.
One of the witnesses is now caring for the kitten.
