A Wichita Falls woman was arrested after police said she gave a false name and that name came back as a person with an outstanding warrant.

Police were called to the Dollar General in the 3100 block of Seymour Highway about a woman stuffing items in her purse.

Police waited outside until Makaydee McDade, 21, came out and detained her and asked for her name.

Police ran the name and date of birth and arrested her for the other woman’s outstanding warrant.

A search of her purse then turned up her real ID, and police then found McDade also had two warrants for her arrest on theft and drug charges.

Police said they also found methamphetamine.

McDade was jailed on a charge of a fugitive giving a false name, a new and an old theft charge and four drug charges.
