A woman arrested for multiple stabbings in the last year is sentenced to prison and additional jail time.
23-year-old Meredith Lopez’s pleas include forgeries, theft and aggravated robbery. She was arrested previously for three stabbings, including one at the Greenbriar Walmart where police say an employee was cut in the neck and chest with a box cutter during a robbery.
Police say employees reported she stole soda, chicken, jeans and three dollars worth of candy then punched an employee trying to stop her from leaving, while holding a box cutter in her hand.
In another stabbing, a man told police Lopez stabbed him in the arm while they were on the way to the hospital. Lopez was sentenced today to 5 years in prison for robbery and four, 15 month state jail sentences for her other charges, with all the sentences to be served at the same time.
