A man with warrants in Wyoming will face other felony charges after a chase and manhunt in Hardeman County Thursday night.
According to Hardeman County Sheriff Pat Laughery, the chase began in Quanah just before 8 p.m. Thursday.
A DPS trooper and deputies pursued a vehicle that didn’t pull over.
After going west from Quanah on U.S. 287, the driver turned south at the Childress County line and then got on the railroad tracks and went east, until he got stuck and took off on foot.
Multiple agencies established a perimeter and they found an ID and narcotics in the vehicle and learned the man had a felony warrant from Wyoming.
According to Laughery, tracking dogs and mounted patrol units from the TL Roach prison in Childress located the suspect just after midnight.
He said a small puppy was also found in the vehicle.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested and taken to the Hardeman County jail.
