Facebook has admitted to a major security breath that allowed hackers to access 50 million user accounts.
The company says hackers exploited its “View As” feature, which lets people see what their profiles look like to someone else.
CEO Mark Zuckerburg says there’s no evidence that the hackers misused any private information.
The company logged about 90 million people out of their accounts as a precautionary measure, but says users do not need to change passwords.
Facebook says it has taken steps to fix the flaw, and alerted the FBI after making the discovery Tuesday.
The company says it does not yet know who’s behind the attacks, or where they’re based.
Facebook disabled the “View As” feature as they continue their investigation.
