Two people have died after a crash involving at least four vehicles Wednesday along Interstate 20 in Parker County.
The crash was reported about 1:30 p.m. near the exit for Farm-to-Market Road 1187, west of the I-20/Interstate 30 split, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Investigators said a black Nissan pickup traveling westbound crossed, for an as yet undetermined reason, over the median cable barrier and into the eastbound lanes, where it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Suburban.
The Nissan pickup was then struck by a tractor-trailer, and the Suburban was rear-ended by a Buick passenger car, investigators said.

Officials said both the driver and passenger of the Nissan pickup were killed. The driver was identified as 68-year-old Donald Daniel, of Weatherford, and the passenger was 14-year-old Hunter Corzine, also of Weatherford.
Daniel was a former superintendent of the Aledo Independent School District, the district confirmed.

The male driver of the Suburban was transported to Texas Health Resources Harris Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries, and the female driver of the Buick was transported by ground ambulance to Harris in unknown condition, DPS said.
A 4-year-old passenger in the Buick was in a booster seat and was not injured, and the driver of the semi was also uninjured.
