“Saturday Night Live” welcomes another first-time host this week as actor Liev Schreiber takes the stage.
“I have very low expectations for myself in this situation, so there’s really no losing,” he laughs.
Schreiber has earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his role as tough guy fixer “Ray Donovan” on Showtime, and he capitalized on that persona with a cameo in an SNL digital short back in 2016.
This weekend, the lifelong New Yorker will be front and center.
“I’ve watched this show since probably since before I should have watched this show. and I’m just so excited,” he says.
