Phased IN Announces International Campus

Over 1,200 students phase out of foster care in the state of Texas every year.
And “Phased IN” has given these young adults a place to live and start a new chapter in their life.
“[It’s] an epidemic that is affecting two nations, that we know of, and probably is affecting the whole world,” said Phased IN director, Pastor Kile Bateman.
With work to be done around the world, Pastor Bateman announced that Phased IN will be expanding.
Soon, Phased IN will have an international campus in Brazil.
“Brazil, they don’t really have a foster care system,” Bateman said. “All of the kids have been rescued, orphaned, abandoned or removed are placed into institutions. Most don’t stick around until they’re 18 so there’s an epidemic in Brazil.”
Rodrigo and Sara Pereira will direct the Phased IN Brazil campus.
Their support group, “Pontes de Amor” (or Bridges of Love), have already helped so many.
“Three and a half years ago we started working with orphans in Brazil, giving support to families that want to adopt children and also preparing these children and teenagers to get attached to their families,” Sara Pereira said.
“Rod and Sara are the mother and father of the unprotected,” Bateman said. “All of these orphans, I got to hear their testimonies of a lot of these older teenagers and were talking about the impact they had in their life and I knew we were dealing with some special people.”
With much work left to be done, Bateman says they’re in the ‘dream stages’–but that dream is pretty big.
“I believe the team in Brazil and the team in the United States, we can add a lot of precious things to each other,” Sara and Rodrigo said. “And together we can do more, we are stronger and it’s very exciting to be together. We can do more and better.”
“We are going to work side-by-side and have the first international campus of Phased IN in Uberlandia, Brazil,” Bateman said.
Bateman also says they will be taking teams on ‘vision trips’ to Brazil to see how big of an impact Phased IN has made around the world.
