Pinwheels for Patsy’s House Set for Saturday

Organization Uses Pinwheels to Reduce Child Abuse_-139384450296755026
The number of reported cases of child abuse cases in on the rise in our area.

Officials with the organization are hoping to symbolically end that cycle through Pinwheels for Patsy’s House.

Last year, Patsy’s House reported 1,508 cases of child abuse.

This year that number is 1,705.

Officials say the number may be higher, because people are being more pro-active in reporting cases of suspected abuse or neglect.

On Saturday, 1,705 pinwheels will be placed in the ground, and the community is invited to remove them for a $20 donation to Patsy’s House.

The kick off event is Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Patterson Honda on Central Freeway.

There will bounce houses, activities for kids, and more.

The pinwheels will be up for the month of April, which is Child Abuse Awareness Month.
