Texas Horse Cavalry Division to Participate in Presidential Inaugural Parade

With the presidential inaugural parade less than a week away a cavalry detachment based at Fort Hood, near Temple, Texas, continues to prepare for their appearance.
The 1st Cavalry Division’s Horse Cavalry Detachment received an invitation to take part in the parade last week.
Riders are working around the clock to make sure that everything is in order before the event. They spent yesterday exercising the horses and getting them used to being around large crowds and loud noises.
This isn’t the first time the detachment has performed in the inaugural parade. They participated in the parades of former presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.
