A trial date is now set for the second of three defendants in the Domanic Thrasher murder after he chose not to accept a plea deal offered by prosecutors.
Justin Love is one of three defendants in the 2015 murder of Thrasher. The offer was for 50 years for a plea of guilty. Blayne Brooks was found guilty at the end of November and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
The third defendant, Whitney O’Brien, testified that Brooks was the shooter in the murder. She said the three of them met Thrasher to sell him about $500 worth of marijuana and when Thrasher tried to run away without paying for the drugs, Love yelled for Brooks to shoot him.
Love’s trial is set for June 19th in 30th district court.
