After more than a year in the making, the folks at Work Services Corporation sure have a place they can be proud of.
On Thursday they opened their doors to community members to take a look around at the newly improved Gerald W. Bettenhausen building on Hatton Rd.
The Wichita Falls Mayor was also on hand to read a proclamation.
The facility is three times the size of their old location and will allow them to expand their efforts to help folks with disabilities train for the work force and find jobs.
“We’re very excited. We’re very thrilled and we are very happy that we had such a good turnout. The community gets to see what it is we do here at work services. We’re often known as one of the community’s best kept secrets. Well, today helped get the secret out,” WSC President and CEO David Toogood said.
WSC has helped over 600 people find work, in jobs at Sheppard Air Force Base, TXDOT and beyond.
They also have a paperclip manufacturing line that’s been around since 1979.
