Officers have confirmed the victim, 21-year-old Domanic Thrasher was pronounced dead after arriving to the hospital.

Officer Jeff Hughes tells us that dispatch was notified just before 12:30 p.m. to a possible shooting in the 3800 block of Yuma.

Officials say 21-year-old Domanic Thrasher was walking near the intersection when a dark colored SUV drove by him and fired multiple shots, hitting him.

The vehicle then left the scene and was last seen turning south on Ruidosa.

Police still have not located the SUV.

“We do know that the suspect vehicle was driven by a male and the front passenger was a female. So we know that it was at least occupied two times. There could have been more people in the vehicle but those are the only two that we do know of at this time,” Officer Jeff Hughes said.

We talked to a few of the neighbors in the area who tell me that they are obviously surprised this has happened in their neighborhood, which is usually known as a rather quiet neighborhood.

If you know anything you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 322-9888.
