WFPD Seek Suspect in Family Dollar Robbery

Wichita Falls police are searching for a man accused of robbing a store Monday night.

Around 10:11 p.m., officers were called to Family Dollar in the 900 block of Brook about a robbery with a weapon that had just occurred.

WFPD Public Information Officer Jeff Hughes said employees locked the doors at 10 p.m. and started counting money in the registers when they heard someone yell, “Get on the ground.”

Hughes said the man pointed a gun at employees, told them not to look at him and instructed them to go inside the bathroom and shut the door.

The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is black, between 6-foot and 6-foot-2, and slim. He was wearing a long-sleeve gray T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

Detectives are waiting to see if the store produces surveillance video.

Anyone with information about this crime should call Crime Stoppers at (940)-322-9888.
