Wichita Falls CPS Resource Fair

In 2013, the National Association for Children and Families estimated that 1,500 children died due to child abuse.

In Wichita Falls, Child Protective Services say they’re devoted to helping families and children.

On Friday, they held a large-scale resource fair.

“Because especially for those of us who are in the rural offices who are sometimes an hour or an hour-and-a-half away or we’re in our offices or in the field and working with families. So, we have a lot of email communications and friend connections with people. This is kind of a good opportunity to have that face-to-face contact,” said CPS Supervisor, Jennifer Knight.

Organizers say it’s in an effort to help 100 case workers connect with people in the community.
