Wichita Falls Track Star Came Close to Rio Olympics

See this wonderful interview with Wichita Falls’ own Taliyah Brooks who made it to the Olympic trials last month. Taliyah competed in the Heptathalon, but came up just short in the long jump. She is a Rider graduate who currently competes in the NCAA for the University of Arkansas.

Tobin McDuff gets her to provide all the details about the trials, her current athletic efforts and if she’ll return to the Olympic trials in four years.

In the Heptathalon Taliyah throws the shot-put, javelin, does the long jump, high jump, runs the 100m hurdles and 200m.
