Another suspect in a prostitution and human trafficking investigation that began in 2014 is arrested.
26-year-old Gayla Jean Baker of Splendora, Texas is charged with compelling prostitution by a juvenile and trafficking of a person.
Her bond is set at $100,000.
Authorities say a routine traffic stop led to the arrests of two people who were apart of an organized prostitution ring working in Wichita Falls, Vernon and other areas.
Robert Collins of Wichita, Kansas and Latasha McCoy were charged last year with multiple felonies related to prostitution.
Collins is the Wichita County Jail on a $1 million dollar bond, and is set to appear in the 78th District Court for a bond reduction hearing on Friday, April 15.
A DPS Trooper says he searched the vehicle and found maps, hotel book coupons, and other items that led him to believe the two were part of a prostitution ring.
DPS and the Department of Homeland Security launched an investigation, and say Collins and McCoy were advertising escort services on a website.
The affidavit states Baker assisted Collins to recruit and train a juvenile in their prostitution service.
