- December 26-31 is one of the deadliest auto-fatality weeks of the year.
- In 2017, 3,193 people died or was seriously injured in Texas from 9,948 alcohol-impaired crashes, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
- The 9,948 alcohol-impaired crashes in 2017 accounted for about 15% of the deaths or seriously injured on Texas roads.
