Athlete of the Week: Shay Williams

Congratulations to our Athlete of the Week, Vernon’s Shay Williams! She helped lead the Lady Lions into a district title playoff game by winning games over Graham and Burkburnett last week. In the two wins she went 5 for 9 at the plate with a homer and 5 runs batted in. In the pitching circle she struck out 18 batters while allowing just two earned runs. As part of being named Athlete of the Week, Shay will appear on the digital billboard on Lawrence road all day tomorrow.
