Local Sports

FC Wichita Falls, a member of the US Arena Pro Soccer League, has signed Christian Okeke to the pro soccer team. Okeke is a graduate of Rider High School and Midwestern State University, earning his degree in Management Information Systems in May 2017. Christian Okeke is 23 years old and grew up in Wichita Falls. He has played soccer for RHS and MSU, as well as FC Premier. FC Wichita Falls is thrilled to be signing such an excellent player, and even more excited that he is from right here in Wichita Falls. Okeke will play forward and midfielder for the team, and will be a major asset on the field.

“I have had the privilege to work with Christian for two years at MSU. He is a very promising player, whom due to his humility and coachable personality, grew into his talent to become an All-American, and one of the most awarded players at MSU. He is a Wichita Falls soccer icon, and proof that this town can produce amazing players. With him on our team I’m sure we will be successful. He represents Wichita Falls, and this town deserves to see local players like him on the field.” –Marcelo Campolino, Volunteer Assistant Coach
