Wichita Falls native Taliyah Brooks has begun her competition in the women’s heptathlon at the 2023 Track & Field World Championships.
Brooks, a Rider alumnus, sits in fourth place after day one of competition. She is only 12 points out of third place, which is a medal position.
Competition on day two (Sunday) features the long jump, javelin toss and the 800m run.
